Tamlin and I recently updated our property. When Tamin was almost finished with the guest bedroom, I noticed that the air cooling system kept running all day. The thermostat was set at 70 degrees, however the indoor temperature never went below 76 degrees. I made the call to our Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier and got a proper service visit! Tamlin thought, perhaps with all the dirt from the recent build, that maybe our air conditioner just needed a good cleaning. When our air conditioner serviceman came over, he cleaned and tightened our Heating, Ventilation & A/C system. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman said that our air conditioner device was really working okay! The man expressed problems about the HVAC duct in the second floor. I told him that while I was in the new remodeling job in the guest bedroom, Tamlin ended up closing off 1 of the HVAC ducts, because it wasn’t required for our ductless mini split. My problem was, the dealers removed the drop ceiling with the bedroom air vent, that maybe they didn’t seal off the duct that well. Tamlin grabbed a chair and escorted our Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman to the second floor, so he could climb into the ceiling to check the HVAC duct; After a few moments of searching, the Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman came down and gave us the not good news. He said that the ductwork are old and falling apart. I told him that we are not in total shock about this either.
