Sealing leaks helped lower energy bills

James was a bit too eager to move out of his parents’ house.

  • His father tried to convince him to wait for a year or several, but by then, he’d have a good amount of cash saved up.

All James wanted was to live with his new lady. Therefore, after getting his first job, he rushed to buy a new house. The new home was in an attractive area plus quite pricey. The magnitude of what he had done did not hit James until winter, then even though he plus his woman were both working full time, the cost of keeping the area hot was too high. But it was too late for James to back out of the house, all he could do was find ways to bring down the energy bill more so during those long Winter weeks. The first thing he did was contact an A/C business for assistance. They sent over an HVAC expert who would help James out. One issue the A/C expert had to address was air leaks. There were places all around the new home that would allow the hot air to slip out. The A/C expert sealed them up, especially around the window and air vents. Another solution was to service the aircon system often, making it work effectively & use less energy to keep the area warm. The heating and air conditioning worker also suggested James and his partner bundle up several times while lowering the temperature in the thermostat. By doing so, they would start to see a change in their energy bill. James was grateful for the advice as well as the service that ensured his home was warm and loved that he did not incur high heating costs.
