We have some friends coming in from out of town and we were trying to plan an itinerary of things they would like to do. We are fortunate in our area to have a wonderful Waterfront and many interesting historical places that can be visited, but my biggest dilemma was where we would be eating out tonight. I’m not really fond of hosting large dinner party so I wanted to find different locations that our friends would find intriguing to eat as well. I began to look through online reviews of local restaurants to find places. There were many with exotic menus and some with local flair that I wanted to try but one in particular caught my attention. The reason for this had nothing to do with the menu but the comments that were made about the patio seating area at the restaurant. We live in the Northern section of the country and we wait for months for warm-weather to arrive but when it does it shows up with a vengeance. It seems we go from snow storm to sweltering heat within a matter of weeks and eating outside is normally not my favorite thing to do. However, this particular restaurant had rave reviews about its outdoor patio and one of the reasons was that they had it climate controlled. I thought this rather strange because why would you try to maintain a specific temperature while sitting outside, by the Articles went on to explain that they had large portable units going all the time to keep the patio warmer and cooler weather and comfortable when it was too hot outside. I thought that this must cost them a fortune but it must have been great for business. Customers could have the best of both worlds and they didn’t mind paying for it. Even if the dinner prices were slightly higher than other restaurants the place was packed all the time.
