My family and I own an Italian restaurant.
We have dining and pick up services as well as delivery. Our biggest seller by far is the brick oven pizza. We keep two drivers on hand every night just for the pizza deliveries. We also deliver any other menu items including pasta, protein, and salads. We recently had a problem with the AC in the kitchen. It caused a lot of problems for the restaurant staff. My son was working in the kitchen that night and he called me at home when the AC broke down. It was 90 degrees inside of the kitchen, even with the back door propped open. I got into the car and drove down to the restaurant. It was extremely hot and very uncomfortable in the kitchen. I tried a couple of different things that I hoped would fix the problem, but I was not successful. I called the commercial repair service, but they could not help me out until the end of business that day. I stayed with my son to help in the kitchen that night and we were really busy. We rarely sell $1000 in food on a Monday night, but it was raining and everyone must have been thinking about pizza and pasta. The repair company was pulling into the parking lot as the last few customers were leaving the building. Thankfully, the AC problem did not require extensive repairs that were costly. The problem was fixed that evening and everything was back to normal the next day for our morning and lunch service.
