My A/C should be enough

I just love to walk down memory lane and remember all the good times I had as a child. I have almost all good memories from my childhood. Although we did go through hard times as a family, we always allowed it to pull us closer together rather than allowing it to separate us and cause contention in the family. Although the majority of my memories of my childhood are wonderful, there is one memory in particular that still makes me cringe to this day. That awful memory was riding the school bus. We lived way out in the middle of nowhere, and we rode the bus for a total of two and a half hours every day. It wouldn’t have been too bad if the bus would of had air conditioning. But of course, it didn’t. For most of the year, it was above seventy degrees, and that made matters even worse. I can remember the stuffiness and smell of that bus as if it had happened yesterday. Our bus was old, and although the air conditioning didn’t  work, the fans did blow. They really didn’t make hardly any difference though. They just blew around hot, smelly air. It wasn’t until I was a junior in high school that we finally got a bus with air conditioning. This changed my life. The rides to and from school were no longer completely miserable, and I actually was able to sort of enjoy them. Oh, the memories of the good old days, and how they bring a smile to my face each time I think of them.
