A freezing cold dentist office

I hate going to the dentist! I’m not sure that I’ve ever met anyone who really enjoys the experience of going to the dentist, but I literally dread it, and sometimes, I even make myself sick over the thought of going to the dentist. Don’t get me wrong, I am so thankful for the work that dentist do, and I love the results of getting dental work done. It’s just the time of actually being at the dentist that really bothers me. I have had a couple of bad experiences at the dentist, and I think that may have to do with my fear of them, but I found a dentist that I absolutely love. He is a great guy, and he does a great job, yet I still get nervous every time I go. I have noticed one thing that makes going to the dentist even worse. It’s the temperature. I’ve never been to a dentist’s office where it wasn’t absolutely freezing. It seems as though they have the air conditioner set at the lowest temperature and blowing on high 24/7. When I’m nervous I get really cold, and having the air conditioner on high certainly doesn’t help me feel any more comfortable. I’m not really sure why they keep their offices so cold, but I have often asked the receptionist to turn down the air conditioner. Of course she does, but she says that it never feels any cooler until I’ve already left. I have become really good friends with my current dentist, and I’m hoping to be able to convince him to turn the air conditioning to a higher temperature.
