We love the central air

When my husband, Paul plus I moved down south, we had never heard of a heat pump.  We’d lived our whole lives in the northeastern part of the country, plus heated our modern home with a forced air heating system.  We’d never had a need for a central cooling system, plus managed our Summer comfort with box fans, open windows plus portable air conditioners.  Paul plus I moved to an area where the weather never dips below chilly. It gets chilly enough that we need some type of heating for a few weeks, plus we actually require a/c for the summer.  The outside temperature periodically climbs up into the triple digits, plus the humidity is horrendous. The modern home we purchased is equipped with an electric heat pump. This innovative proposal combines heating plus cooling capacity into a single unit.  It does not burn fossil fuels to generate heat, but runs undoubtedly on electricity. This avoids the problem over combustion byproducts, such as formaldehyde, carbon monoxide plus carbon dioxide. It also is undoubtedly environmentally friendly plus helps minimize our carbon footprint.  The heat pump simply moves heat from a single location to another. During the Summer weeks, the heat pump acts almost exactly love a central cooling system. It extracts heat from inside the modern home plus pumps it outdoors, creating a cooling effect. In the winter, the heat pump entirely reverses operation, finding ambient heat in outdoor air, con crucial it to a higher temperature plus delivering it indoors.  This process is clean, safe, quiet, plus charmingly energy efficient. Plus, the heat pump does a superb job of combating excess humidity while I was in cooling mode, plus effectively filters the indoor air.
