The components are taking a lot of damage

Last summer, I was always sick & missed a ton of work.  I suffered from extreme headaches, nausea, congestion, sore throat, & constant sneezing.  Since I’ve never had trouble with pollen irritations before, I couldn’t figure out what was causing our symptoms.  I went to the dentist, tried prescription medicine, over-the-counter possibilities & even natural remedies. Nothing made a difference.  I finally started feeling better when the weather changed. The cooler hot & cold temperatures allowed me to open the windows & bring in some fresh air.  That’s when I realized our air conditioner equipment was the problem. I arranged an appointment with a local Heating & Air Conditioning professional, who took the system apart & found an scary buildup of contaminants.  There was mold flourishing on the cooling coil, algae clogging the condensate drain, & dust obstructing airflow through the system… Every time the air conditioner equipment started up, bacteria & pollutants were spread throughout the home, & I was breathing them in.  Along with degraded air quality, the accumulation within the inner workings was causing higher bi-weekly bills & diminished comfort. The lack of airflow forced the air conditioner equipment to run longer & labor harder to meet control equipment settings, putting more wear & tear on components.  I’m fortunate that the air conditioner equipment didn’t hastily malfunction & cost me a fortune in repairs. The professional cleaning didn’t take all that long & wasn’t overly high-priced, yet made a large improvement in the cooling system’s performance. I signed up for a preventative service system with the Heating & Air Conditioning company, to avoid this type of concern in the future.  The company will return every Spring to complete a full cleaning & tuning on the air conditioner unit.
