Each year in the summer, my HVAC company hosts a large company picnic. We usually have the HVAC company picnic at one of the local state parks. Around here, we have four or five different state parks with large swimming holes. Most of the state parks have nice Springs, that feed the swimming area with ice-cold water everyday. The Springs are a great place for our HVAC company picnic. We rent three Pavilions, all adjacent to one another. The state parks have great parking facilities, and the cost is only $5 to enter per car load. The state parks also have multiple bathrooms and changing areas, and plenty of places for all of the young kids to play. Since the weather is always very warm, our HVAC company has the picnic at the Springs. Most of the adults and kids cool off in the pool of crisp, refreshing water. This summer, our HVAC company had it’s picnic in the middle of August. On the day of our picnic, the outdoor temperatures were forecasted to be near 95 degrees. Our HVAC company was ready with plenty of cold drinks like water, Gatorade, and soda pop. We grilled 500 hot dogs and 300 Hamburgers on that day. By the end of the day, I was ready to head back home and relax. I spent most of the time cooking at the grill, and barely any time in the cold, refreshing water. I couldn’t wait to get home and sit down with a cool, refreshing beer. I’m glad that everyone has a good time when our HVAC company has its picnic, but it can be a long and exhausting day.
