It turns out our air handler in our garage isn’t correctly sealed plus needs to be fixed. I was getting ready for the modern Springtime weather yesterday by cleaning out our air conditioner components with a light vinegar solution before I crank the method on again for the first time since before Wintertime. Everything in our process was great plus went according to plan, I was able to get our coils plus filter tray clean, plus I also opened the air return vent plus the output vents to disinfect those as well. But after I had the method on for about a morning or more than one, I was starting to get the sort of allergic reactions that I get to heavy dust plus mold, however hadn’t had any complications with either since actually last Fall or longer. I scoured the internet for multiple possible sources plus actually spent more time worrying over unlikely worst-case-scenario situations instead of reading anything constructive about our problem. I finally called a reputable local heating plus cooling company to drop by plus take a look at our Heating plus A/C method to see if anything was wrong under the sheer opportunity that somewhere something was getting introduced to our air stream. Well, it looks enjoy our hunch was correct, the Heating plus A/C professional told myself and others that our air handler itself was not correctly sealed plus was drawing in air from our dusty garage plus pushing it into our house. He had to schedule a separate repair call to get that fixed however once he did I observed a sizable improvement. My lungs were clearing up plus I was finding less dust on surfaces when I cleaned! I would have never thought to check the seals on the air handler if I hadn’t called the Heating plus A/C company over.
