I was thinking of getting a heat pump for our home. I can’t survive only with a heat pump system but. I live in the north plus the heating function with a heat pump is not wonderful enough. A heat pump only works in temperatures above 40 degrees. This is because the heat pump works by moving heat energy either indoors or outdoors. It all depends on if you want heating or cooling. I genuinely want the heat pump for the cooling function. My system is to get rid of all the fans plus window a/cs in our home. I then want to install the ductless heat pump system plus only use it in the dining room plus our living room. There is an exterior wall in the dining room. I can set up the outdoor component there. The indoor component can be inside of the dining room. In the Summer, I can have quality cooling while I cook. I also would love the extend the heat pump upstairs to our living room. My living room is directly above the dining room. I recognize it will be easy to install another indoor air handler plus link the devices. In the Summer, the dining room plus living room are the only venues that I absolutely want air conditioning. I can have ultimate comfort plus save quite a bit on our bills. Also, a heat pump system is way more new plus beautiful looking than window AC. The units are also cleaner since there is no dusty ductwork used to move the cooling in the two rooms. Should be a wonderful move on our part.
