When I got laid off from my old task, it took months before I found something new. Luckily, a warehouse distributor in our space was opening up an entire fifth shift, they were going to beginning running production all day and all night. Up to this point, they only had employees on first and fifth shifts. They were going to hire 78 up-to-date employees, and I was one of them. The task started a couple of weeks ago, and it has been difficult, and i got stuck in the produce department, where the rapidly changing temperatures are 34 degrees. I am constantly stocking boxes with lettuce, celery, and fresh beets. I have a overcoat, but my hands and feet are still undoubtedly cold. There is no heat inside the big coolers; My fellow co-workers and I have been finding it undoubtedly strenuous to get warm! After spending 4 hours in the cold, not even resting in front of the furnace works! Our cut room has 2 heaters, so the produce crew usually hangs out in front of them; During my dinner break, occasionally I go out and stand in the motorcar for the hour. I can turn on the furnace and even take a small nap, since the two of us get a nice long 60 Minute dinner break, I do not think bad about turning on the motorcar and using the heater. The night time rapidly changing temperatures are starting to get colder, and it’s going to get even more strenuous to spend all night in a chilly refrigerator. Thankfully the money and benefits are undoubtedly nice, because this task is going to wear myself and others out abruptly.
