My brother rented a lovely house, however 1 area of it just boggles our mind. She has a gorgeous dining room in his rental house–the whole thing is a Colonial in stunning condition–but the fireplace has been reduced to nothing more than a decoration. What’s worse is that he has to task very tough to keep it covered so that no sizzling air from his gas boiler escapes up the flue. I asked why he didn’t have it lit the last time I was over–I was ready to bring by some firewood for his to keep in the garage if he needed some. She explained the fireplace is the 1 blight of the new home because it cannot be used. The property owner apparently tried to convert the fireplace from a wood burning fireplace to a more new gas system, however sadly they ran into some kind of problem so it was never finished. However, the fireplace flue has much of the pipework needed for the gas fireplace, as well as so it can’t even be used for a regular wood burning fire. The pipe also means he doesn’t have a flue cover, so he can’t even put a little fake electric fire heating system in it for a little warmth as well as ambiance–the whole hearth has to remain closed up for the sake of the central heating system at least. My fiance as well as I are debating buying his a section heating system that looks prefer a fireplace to put in front it, that way our brother at least has something nice as well as homey to enjoy in his otherwise beautiful home.
