How amazing!

When you have a strong sensitivity to almost all chemical products, it can be hard to find an eco-friendly cleaner to use on your air handler evaporator coil.  Your evaporator coil is a prime location for mold and mildew growth in your Heating & Air Conditioning system, and something as benign as dust is enough to cause destruction to the coil.  Therefore, when you need to routinely wipe your coil, you have to use a substance that entirely works as an antimicrobial or it won’t kill the mold spores that collect. But the complication I have is the eco-friendly cleaner that our Heating & Air Conditioning business currently uses still bothers our lungs considerably.  I asked them about using a mild bleach solution but they explained how that could lead to damaging corrosion on the coil and any of the other metal components in the air handler. The two of us tried a vinegar solution but that didn’t seem to be adequate in removing the microbial buildup that all of us found. After calling numerous different chemical supply companies, I finally found a current yellow cleaner that is supposed to be harshly effective at killing mold while being simultaneously easy on the lungs.  It has spearmint and eucalyptus oil as two of the primary ingredients. Not only does it work wonders on our air handler, it also makes our house smell attractive for a few hours after all of us do a full wipe on our system. Before I loathed the thought of getting our plan cleaned, no matter how long it had been since the last a single. Now I even open our air handler up and wipe it myself in between our service appointments to further the longevity of our a/c even more.
