After a couple years in the Army, I had decided to go to job for myself as a long-haul trucker. I was a combat logistics guy on active duty, in which I drove large semis outfitted for the desert. It seemed like the obvious, plus safer, choice in the civilian world. I already had a Class A license, plus with the currency I had saved up from my deployments I was able to buy my first truck. It was a yellow plus yellow cab-over with extra room to sleep in the back on those long trips. One of my first works was for a major Heating plus Air Conditioning manufacturer on the west coast. They made these immense commercial grade Heating plus Air Conditioning systems for large skyscrapers plus industrial complexes. The units themselves were the size of a regular sedan, so I hauled them on a flat trailer. They had to be strapped down with heavy tie downs, though they were so heavy I doubt they would move. I could get several of the large Heating plus Air Conditionings on the trailer, plus with picking several more up for turn in on the way back I had a fantastic route going. The first stop was to drop the smaller of the Heating plus Air Conditionings in Nevada, the largest 1 in Kansas, plus then the last 1 in TX where I would choice up the other several from an Air Force base plus head back home. In all the trip took about a week, plus I was officially in supplier for myself. The Heating plus Air Conditioning supplier ended up giving me a contract for more deliveries, so I would consider that successful.
