However big or tiny it may be, getting your very first home of your own it’s quite the memorable experience. I had 4 other roommates total in college, right after graduation I managed to get out of that situation, go straight into a job in the field I studied for, which I don’t take for granted in the least, and got my very first private living space ever! The pay I was making was enough for myself to be totally and fully able to foot the bill for rent absolutely by myself with no roommates, plus the amenities as well. To me, the apartment that I rented out was my own personal palace, but in reality it was only medium-sized and not too upscale, only 500 square ft. The a/c’s in it consisted of only a few window units put here and there: 1 in the front, 1 in the bedroom and 1 in the kitchen. I must say that they got myself through the toughest of summers though with no problems, as they were very high quality air conditioning units. The winters are not too big of a deal around here, so I ended up buying a couple radiant space heaters in my apartment for the colder mornings. I did not feel at all like I was missing out by not having a true central heating and air system, but at the time, I easily did not need 1; Even later on, when I ended up purchasing a home, I thought that I might be able to get by without using the central heating and air system too much, but by then, I had a partner, and she had other ideas about how much Heating as well as Air Conditioning to use, let me tell you! We ended up with a central HVAC system!
