My sister and I decided to drive north last month, in order to see her favorite football team play in the playoffs. It was a 12-hour drive to get to the game, and that meant an entirely different temperature environment. When we left home, the outdoor temperatures were 70 degrees with sunshine and humidity. When we arrived to the playoff game, the outdoor temperatures were 25 degrees with light snow. That’s the best weather for a good football playoff game, in my opinion. During our second day in town, the heat in my sister’s car stopped working. We didn’t have any extra money to fix the heater, because the playoff tickets were so expensive. My sister and I drove around without heat for 3 days. We enjoyed watching the playoffs and our favorite team won by a landslide. When it came time to drive back home, we decided to use a credit card to fix the heater issue. We stopped at a car dealership in the city, and asked them to look into the heating problem. Both of us hoped the issue would be minor and something easy to fix. After 30 minutes, they came out to tell us that we had a blown fuse. During the three days up north, my sister and I drove around without any heat, because we thought there was a major issue. We didn’t realize the problem could have been an easy repair. We didn’t even spend $100 on a new fuse and labor. My sister and I drove the whole way home, laughing about our entire situation.
