The boiler can’t be removed

I don’t recognize what to do with the current boiler idea in our home. When I moved into our home I inherited the boiler system. The boiler is ancient, rusted and does not run anymore. I didn’t even recognize of it when I bought the home though. I figured I would buy a up-to-date gas furnace and get rid of the boiler. Well I have a up-to-date gas furnace but I can’t get rid of the boiler; First, the boiler idea is super heavy. The thing is way larger than a fridge and wider. I don’t recognize how the previous homeowner got it into the basement, however it is not coming out. Next the boiler is too big. The narrow stairs and doorway would no way allow a boiler idea through, however did they build the home around the heating equipment? Lastly, even if I could magically get the boiler out of the home I don’t recognize where to take it. The nearest dump is hours away and I do not recognize if they would want it. I have had metal scrappers look at it and they say nothing is reclaimable. I have even tried getting a Heating and Air Conditioning dealer to take it. I thought they might want the parts on it. The boiler idea is so seasoned that all the parts on it are obsolete. Also boiler repairs are not standard and only specially trained Heating and Air Conditioning men can do it. So not every Heating and Air Conditioning dealer has a guy that even knows how to work a boiler system. What a pain in the butt. At this point I wanna see if I can light the boiler on fire and get rid of it that way.
