How to import my japanese car

My fiance & I started dating years ago, and even back then he was talking about a Nissan Skyline GT-R and how badly he wanted one. We went to a car show once, which displayed this JDM vehicle among others. I asked my fiance why he didn’t buy one if he was so in love with the car, and that’s when he opened a can of worms about the Japanese Domestic Market. It differs from our own car market, as my fiance told me that it can be a hard process to import a vehicle from a JDM into the country here. Let me just explain something: when my fiance proposed, he presented me with this massive diamond ring! That being said, the man can save and the man makes great money, so I certainly don’t see why he wouldn’t grab one of these cars for himself. I started to think about that Nissan Skyline GT-R conversation, and I did some research online before finding a JDM importer in the city. I traveled to the town last month, & met with the owner of the car to tell him about my fiance & his love for the Nissan Skyline GT-R. The JDM car importer had access to more than a dozen different Nissan Skyline GT-R’s! We discussed the logistics of the purchase, import fees, & all of the rules & regulations that come with the car. Once I picked out a 1992 orange Nissan Skyline GT-R, it was time to tell my fiance what I set up for him – the deal of a lifetime!
