We recently started a corporate wellness program at our place of work.
- Since we all spend the majority of our day resting at a desk and staring at a PC monitor, we experience a range of health issues.
We’re not only sedentary however there’s always lots of various snacks available. People regularly bring in cookies, cupcakes and doughnuts. We all drink a ton of coffee as well. Our workday starts at 8 AM, however trying to get in a workout before getting ready for the task is a real challenge, and I don’t get home until around 5:30 PM. I’m way too exhausted to head to the gym or go for a jog. After laboring at the task for a year, I’d put on roughly fifteen pounds and felt bad. I was no longer as productive, and I was legitimately sad. I assume our supervisor was mainly anxious with insurance costs and absenteeism when she arranged the corporate wellness program. I entirely don’t care what motivated the actual idea, because it’s truly worked wonders for nearly every worker in the office… Right before supper, we meet with a health and fitness expert in the conference room. We spend an hour stretching and going through a series of exercises that include strength training, balance and flexibility. We do roughly twenty hours of aerobic exercise. Along with this, the trainer meets with every single one of us every month to provide nutrition counselling. We’ve been involved in the corporate wellness program for about eighteen months. I’ve lost the fifteen pounds and hope to lose a couple more. I have a ton of energy and really feel superb about myself.
