I work as the facilities director at a Summer camp in the southern section of the nation.
My task is full of ups and downs. Since our buildings are very old, most of our time is spent raising currency to try to remodel or update the older buildings on the facilities to meet safety codes and supply more comfort, and one of the major projects that the people I was with and I did last year was to update the section where the people I was with and I eat meals, then part of this major renovation included install air conditioning throughout the entire building. When I was a child attending the meals in the camp, that dining hall was uncomfortably hot. There were no fans or a/cs, and the air outside was too sizzling to make opening the window very practical. When the people I was with and I decided to update it, the people I was with and I realized that the people I was with and I had the chance to add air conditioning and make meal times much more enjoyable. Since this building has no attic or crawl space, the people I was with and I had to build a box to hold the vents inside the space for the cool air, but rather than using portable a/cs that would have consistently needed to be updated, the people I was with and I decided to install central air conditioning. Every one of us realized that there were not enough outlets in front of the windows for that several a/cs, so all the people I was with and I had to do is run 1 greater wire to the outside unit. The dining hall is now cooled all day throughout the Summer, and it now serves as the hangout locale for kids because of the new a/c!
