I labor as the facilities manager at a Summer camp in the southern area of the nation.
My task is full of ups as well as downs.
Since our buildings are actually old, most of my time is spent raising money to try to remodel or update the older buildings on the facilities to meet safety codes as well as provide more comfort, but one of the major projects that all of us did last year was to update the section where all of us eat meals, and part of this major renovation included install air conditioner throughout the entire building. When I was a child attending the meals in the camp, that dining hall was uncomfortably hot. There were no fans or air conditioners, as well as the air outside was too moderate to make opening the window actually practical. When all of us decided to update it, all of us realized that all of us had the opportunity to add air conditioner as well as make meal times much more enjoyable. Since this building has no attic or crawl space, all of us had to build a box to hold the vents inside the space for the cool air, rather than using portable air conditioners that would have constantly needed to be updated, all of us decided to install central air conditioner. All of us realized that there were not enough outlets in front of the windows for that numerous air conditioners, so all all of us had to do is run a single greater wire to the outside unit. The dining hall is now cooled all day throughout the Summer, as well as it now serves as the hangout venue for kids because of the up-to-date air conditioner!
