Heater in addition to air conditioner at the same time

My bestie might be the only person who runs the heating system in addition to the a/c at the same time.

It is tepid outside so he keeps his central a/c running, prefer a normal person, however, unlike a normal person, he also keeps lots of exotic creatures in addition to so he has two rooms in his house that have a heating system in them.

These heating systems kick on in addition to off all day long to keep his numerous birds, reptiles, amphibians, in addition to invertebrates comfortable. The thought of living with all of these creatures in the house someday does not bother me nearly as much as the thought of living with that electric bill does. James keeps the vents closed off in those rooms in addition to he had cardboard taped over the vents in order to keep much of the air conditioned air out. However, I can still assume cool air getting in when I go into the rooms. I can also assume heated air escaping under the door in addition to into the main house from the heated room. I believe that it would save a lot of currency if there was a way to completely close off the vents leading into the creature’s rooms when James runs the a/c… Being able to seal off the doors would also be helpful. Then there is the matter of safety when it comes to the space heating systems in those rooms. I never trust a space heater. What if an HVAC system could be programed to put out cool air into particular rooms in addition to heated air into other programed rooms? That would solve just about everything.
