Ever since I was a little kid I have had a passion for animals.
My parents ran an animal shelter up until the day that they retire, and once they have retired from the company was mine to run.
I wouldn’t say that being the owner and manager of an animal shelter is a dream job, but for me personally it is very close to it. I get to work with amazing animals each day, help them find new homes, and I wake up every morning happy to go to work. There are some problems that arise from time to time that are frustrating however, make no mistake about it. For example, I can’t count how many times I have been forced to reach out to the local HVAC heating and cooling company due to a problem that I was having with the air conditioning unit. With all of the pet fur and other dirt and dust they track in from walks the air filters as well as the air ducts in the industrial grade air conditioning unit are often pushed to the brink and need to be repaired by a professional. I have consulted with my family to try to find a way to avoid it, but as long as there are so many animals living here it will always be that way. It sucks to have to rely on the HVAC company to come around and fix the unit for me each month, but the money is totally worth it to make sure all the animals here are cooled off and happy.
