My math tutor was the worst math mentor in the world, for many reasons, but first of all, he wasn’t the best type of mentor.
He would try to teach us math, however we would usually have to try to figure out things on my own because math wasn’t his first subject, secondly, our mentor was never on-time when it came to grading my homework and tests.
We never understood fully where we were falling behind in, so we couldn’t improve effectively. On top of that, my mentor was dreadfully stern about how he used the a/c in our classroom. He was a stickler on keeping the a/c off throughout the entire Summer. It was incredibly strange. He was a massive dude, and the hotter temperatures were obviously affecting him, the a/c would have made him feel crazy comfortable. But he would choose not to use the a/c regardless of my personal discomfort and his. I secretly believed that he didn’t want to use the a/c because he didn’t appreciate us. He would fight all of our complaints plus whining about using the a/c plus threaten to get us in a load of trouble. The only time that he would turn on the a/c is if the school made it mandatory if the heat outside was dangerous, even at that point, he set the thermostat on the a/c so high that it would start to break. I was so glad when I left his class plus got a new mentor that honestly used the a/c. I don’t understand what kind of maniac my math mentor seemed to be.
