Applying for jobs – HVAC seems promising, family history

For many months now I have been in job limbo, stuck between an old full time position and a my current online work. It’s not that I don’t want another full time job, so much as I’m trying to be diligent about picking the right line of work and employer. I think I’ve finally figured it out though, and I’ve begun to formulate a new plan for the rest of my life. Recently, I came across an advertisement for an accelerated heating, ventilation, and air conditioning certification program that is opening in town. Immediately, my interest was piqued as I began reading about the heating and cooling coursework, the guaranteed service internship, and the rapid job placement into the HVAC field that graduates could expect. I started to think about the job duties, going out to people’s homes and assisting them with bad air quality issues sounded quite fulfilling to me. I would like to know my way around a modern air conditioner and furnace for my own purposes, besides! I was instantly enamored with the idea, and began making phone calls to gather more information about the entire ventilation specialist degree. Within two days, I was fully enrolled in the HVAC coursework and eagerly reporting for duty to job shadow real heating and cooling specialists in town. What is a little strange, I’ll admit, is that it took me so long to realize my interest in the home ventilation industry. Why? Because I come from a long line of HVAC technicians in my family. I just never thought the heating and cooling business was interesting until I saw that neat ad.
