Stuffing towels around the air vents

It is horrible staying in a hotel that does not have control unit control. Nicer hotels use a wall mounted control unit that controls just the room Heating, Ventilation & A/C. This way the shopper can decide their own heating & A/C separate from affecting anyone else in the hotel. This form of zone control is efficient, effective plus allows the guests to stay in ultimate comfort… You never guess what you are going to get in a hotel though. The most recent locale I stayed in had the brackets for a control unit, however it was empty! At a single point the hotel had Heating, Ventilation & A/C devices plus control unit control in each room. They then upgraded to central Heating, Ventilation & A/C all controlled by a single control unit out of reach of the people staying the night. I hate it when that happens since I get chilly easily. Of course I was staying in the hotel during the summer. The hotel cooling component was on super low plus the air blasting out of the vents was horrible. The vents were absolutely along the baseboards under the window. What I did was use our outdated towels plus stuff them in front of the vents. There was nothing I could do to turn off the AC, so I simply resorted to blocking it. I can’t imagine how bad that would be for the Heating, Ventilation & A/C bills. I did not care though, I wanted to not freeze to death, then for 4 days that AC component did not get to control the room temperature. If there would have been a control unit, the hotel could have saved currency by not providing A/C for our room.
