Right after school, I was lucky enough to get a job in my chosen field.
In order to get ahead, I spend a lot of time at my job.
My office task is demanding and rough, and yet it keeps me standing in a chair, looking at a computer for long hours. After three years of such a sedentary lifestyle, I started to have some health concerns. I’d put on over several extra pounds plus my joints hurt. I had pain in my hips, shoulders, back and wrists. My neck plus spine often bothered me. I suffered from frequent migraines too. I didn’t feel good plus wasn’t cheerful with my appearance. This led to depression plus affected my productivity at work. During a supper break, I listened to my friends voice similar problems and complaints. I realized that I needed to do something about it. I did some looking around online plus came across a corporate wellness program offered by a personal trainer. I did further checking plus found some great results for companies that offered corporate wellness plans. They observed a huge increase in productivity and reduction in employee turnover and absenteeism. I took this information to my boss, who gave me the go-ahead to setup the program in our office space. I contacted a local personal trainer, worked out the details and offered a sign-up sheet to my friends at work. The response was so overwhelming that we instantly needed to expand the training sessions. The personal trainer is now offering corporate wellness classes every wednesday before work, during lunch hour plus at the end of the day.
