Everything in the house felt clammy

I only moved south for a job.

I wish that I hadn’t decided to buy a house and stay here.

I hate the rainy season and the humidity is enough to make me wish I lived in Alaska. I used to live in the midwest where I had hot, dry summers and cold winters. I loved it there, but I wanted a change of scenery. After last week, I’m ready to have another change of scenery and move back home. I went through the roof when my energy bill arrived. I had to have the air conditioning set as low as possible and yet it still felt hot in the house. Everything felt clammy and there wasn’t anything I could do. I don’t know if I have ever really been happy here. I called the HVAC company and asked if there was something I could do with the humidity in the house. He checked the HVAC system and told me that they had a whole house dehumidifier that we could have installed into the air conditioning. I asked him if that would dry out the air. He assured me that I would see a big difference within twenty-four hours. The next day, the HVAC technician showed up and he installed the dehumidifier. I had thought that air conditioning was made to remove the humidity, but I guess mine was too much for it to handle. Within twenty-four hours, the humidity level had dropped by thirty points and I was once again happy in my own home. I am so glad that I decided to call the HVAC company.
