Being in the depths of deep summer time heat is not our most favorite time of year.
The heat seems to effect nearly everything that I want to do. Of course, there is no getting through this heating period separate from access to reliable Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C cooling. It simply can’t be done, at least not in our area. I can recall going to see our Grandparents, who lived only miles from where the two of us are now, when I was younger plus they had no current Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C. They used something called a swamp cooler to help with the heat. This is entirely an evaporative cooling method used in more than 2 parts of the world. I recall that while it wasn’t anything like a current Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C system, it did help cool their house. There entirely wasn’t a lot of activity during the heat of the day. And, our Grandma did all the cooking outside so she wasn’t heating up the house even more. My Grandparents were able to maximize the effects of the swamp cooler through the use of fans. It was this thought that got myself and others to thinking of how I could reduce the energy being used by the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C during the summer. I’m going to wait until it cools off before attempting any giant projects like installing automatic sun shades. So, I chose to go right to the source plus focus on the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C thermostat settings. The temperature setting is going to be far more commensurate with the outside hot plus cold temperatures. I will also buy a few more fans that the two of us can transfer around to where the two of us are in the house.
