My wife and I always go out to our favorite restaurant for our anniversary. We have been going there for many years and look forward to the great food, the atmosphere of the venue and the comfortable feeling we get from being in the restaurant. Well this past anniversary it all did not work out as planned. We made our reservation as always and arrived at the scheduled time but as soon as we entered the restaurant we knew something was wrong. The restaurant had a number of box fans running in the bar area and also in the dining area and it was very warm inside the whole space. We asked the hostess about the heat and she apologized saying that their air conditioning unit had failed but the HVAC service people were on their way and it was sure to be repaired momentary. My wife and I did not want to miss celebrating our anniversary and had loved this place for many years so we decided to stick it out and hope for the best. We heard several people grumbling about the heat at a nearby table. We decided to order a frozen drink to help cool us down. Not long after we arrived, I noticed a HVAC service van pull up out front of the restaurant. Two service men entered and were shown to the back of the restaurant. One came out into the dining room and fiddled with the thermostat on the wall. Just as we were being served our salads, cool air could be felt flowing from the overhead air vents and the whole place started to cool down. The service men had done their jobs and fixed the A/C and most importantly saved our anniversary celebration.
