My wife and I’ve been searching for our new home for almost a year now. Both of us aren’t in a serious rush to be moving, so we’re making an effort to really fine-tune our wants for a home. See, both of us want to make sure we get the best bang for our buck, and we don’t mind putting in a little elbow grease to make sure that the two of us make that happen. There’s been a few houses that require a little bit of additional work, if we decided to purchase the house. One of them recently had their heating and a/c system break down, and the realtor claims the former owners had no desire to have the equipment repaired. For this, the home was remarkably cheaper than any other similar houses with the same square footage, which was tempting for us! We don’t mind having an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C contractor install a new heating and a/c system – even installing a new system ourselves is fine, if it means that we’re going to have a lower bottom line. It’s totally worth it, and my wife is a bit of a handyman herself so I don’t suppose it’d be too challenging for her to do something like that. So, if we found ourselves in a situation where the two of us had to install a new HVAC system, redo plumbing, or anything similar to that, I suppose it would be fine as long as we found the right house. It would be an ideal scenario, as it would also provide a project for us to spend time working on it together. .
