My friend is in a lawsuit about discrimination in the workplace

It totally breaks my heart to hear about the constant systematic racism that my good buddy Bobby is victim to on a daily basis. When you’re privileged enough to not be seen as an “other” by the majority race where you happen to reside, it’s simple to forget what it’s like for people who are. He can’t even stroll into the grocery store without getting concerned looks from at least one client or employee. When he has the desire to buy clothing or electronics for instance, he is often indiscreetly followed around the store by a manager and is hardly ever left alone to shop in peace. Worst of all, he is always facing adversity with his managers, everyone from local diners where he once waited tables to the school he was working at not so long ago. The last task turned into a nightmare when fellow staff members started isolating themselves from Bobby because he wore a shirt to his workplace that simply said, “Black Lives Matter.” Soon thereafter, he was stopped by campus police and was told to kneel on the ground and get forcefully handcuffed while he kept insisting he was actually a staff member. Word got back to Bobby that several of his coworkers called campus police on purpose to harass him into quitting his work. Not only did Bobby get a good attorney who specializes in police misconduct, however they also handle career discrimination on top of that. He took all of the evidence that he could find and presented it to his attorney when they met earlier in that week. The attorney is completely confident that my good buddy Bobby will succeed with his case if it ever moves to trial.
