What happened to the summer?

Because of the pandemic, our summer has just flown by.

We aren’t worrying about this when we can go to the beach, or get out and do fun things.

I’m used to going to the park all the time. I have worked at a local amusement park since I was fourteen-years-old. Without the amusement park being open, I have nothing to do. I have been sitting at home, watching the summer fly by. My mom is always complaining if I even think about going to visit a friend. She tells me that unless they are also bubbling, as she calls it, she doesn’t want me near them. I sit in my room playing video games and relaxing in the air conditioning. I would much prefer relaxing in the AC after coming home from the park. Now, I’m looking forward to going to college. I’m not even sure if I’ll be able to go to college because of Covid. They are talking about doing online classes for the first semester. I’ll be huddling in my room listening to the AC first and then the furnace. I don’t like this turn of events. I’m realizing how important HVAC is to the families and buildings. I talked to my dad and told him about my thoughts about going to school this fall. I also told him how I had been giving a lot of thought to HVAC. He told me that if I wanted to change my mind about college, he would be okay. It was my decision. I didn’t want to change my mind, I just wanted to change my course of study to HVAC certification.
