Loving the new sunroom

Now that I had lived all my life enduring the worst the northern winters could throw at us, I know I have earned the right to some year round sun.

  • That’s right, it’s time to transport on and leave all the ugly Winter time stuff behind.

While I am so happy just to be living in our new, smaller retirement condo, my excitement might be more about no more winters with an Heating and A/C furnace. Where I lived all my life, the Winter time started well before Thanksgiving and didn’t let up until mid May at best. Sporadically the Heating and A/C furnace was still on during the second day of May. Now, I loved seeing the snow fall and blanket our yard. Having Christmas in a setting like that is magical. Yet, it was dealing with all that cold that just finally burned me out. It will be so damn hard to leave my friends and family however it’s time. I know 1 thing that will ease the hollow feeling of leaving loved 1s behind. That would be the new sunroom that my wife is having added to our new retirement condo. The whole time the two of us have been married, it has been a dream of mine to have a sunroom. However, given the lack of sunlight and the long cold winter, it didn’t ever seem undoubtedly prudent to have a sunroom up north. My wife even had the Heating and A/C men and women come out to put in a ductless Heating and A/C unit in the sunroom. So by the time the two of us transport in, the sunroom will have its undoubtedly own independent Heating and A/C source.
