I thought air quality was important to me. It was really important until it became a bunch of work. Anytime air quality is brought up, it is always scary. Too dry of indoor air conditions can cause static shock, nose bleeds, chapped lips and wood to split in the home. Too moist of air quality causes mold, mildew, bugs and wood to swell in the home. Due to this I got both a dehumidifier and humidifier. I use the dehumidifier with my AC in the Summer, and I use the humidifier with the heater in Winter. Using the air quality devices have lowered my bills significantly. With less moisture, the AC feels colder. With moisture and heating, I can lower the thermostat temperature. I then read that if the air quality is dirty, that is no good. You can get real sick, sluggish and less motivated. I then purchased an air purifier to work with my HVAC equipment. The air purification system works in tandem with the HVAC and removes all odors from the air quality. No smells, no dirt and no debris is ever around for me to breathe in. I even went one step further and got ultraviolet lights that clean the air before it goes into the HVAC system. I finally tapped when it came to HEPA filters. These filters clean the air even further. However, since the air filter holes are twice as small as usual, I need to change them often. I also need more of these filters in stock. I am willing to spend money, but not put in that kind of time.
